WWME is a charity registered with the Charities Commission with charity number 272318. The objects of the Charity are to provide education, advice, guidance and discussions for married couples and couples preparing for marriage, in order that they may have a proper understanding of the rights, duties and responsibilities of a Christian married life in accordance with the Roman Catholic tradition and as laid down by Canon Law, as well as for priests and members of religious orders who wish to increase their knowledge and development of their relational skills with their parishioners or in their community. Weekends are intended for couples who the Catholic Church defines as being committed (or wanting to commit) themselves to ‘The marriage covenant by which a man and a woman establish between themselves a partnership for their whole life’. Weekends are Catholic in origin and ethos. However, couples of any, or no faith, are welcome, as are priests and religious of other denominations and faiths.
Bookings
By booking on a weekend and paying the booking fee participants are reserving a place for the weekend of their choice. WWME make no charge to participants who attend a weekend. Instead, at the end of the weekend, the participants are told how much the weekend has cost WWME and are asked to make a donation based upon the cost to WWME and their own circumstances. As stated above WWME is a charity and is entirely dependent on donations.
On rare occasions weekends which do not attract sufficient participants have to be cancelled. Under these circumstances WWME will offer an alternative date and venue to participants who have booked for the cancelled event. If this is not acceptable then a refund of the booking fee will be offered. WWME accept and shall have no liability of whatever nature and howsoever arising in respect of any claim, damages, loss or expense, whether direct or indirect including consequential loss, arising out of or in connection with this cancellation.
Viruses and malware
Documents and other electronic files can be uploaded and downloaded to and from this website by its members. WWME have no responsibility for checking that documents and other electronic files distributed via this website are free from computer viruses or other malware. It is the responsibility of the user to ensure that documents they upload and download are free from such threats prior to transmission and use. WWME accept and shall have no liability of whatever nature and howsoever arising in respect of any claim, damages, loss or expense, whether direct or indirect including consequential loss, arising from viruses or other malware.
Offensive or defamatory material
WWME expressly forbid users from posting – or posting links to – any offensive or defamatory material, including, but not limited to, pornographic and racist material on this website.
Users who contravene these terms and conditions of use may have their user accounts revoked and these users may be banned from rejoining the community. Legal action may also be taken by WWME.
The user agrees to submit exclusively to the laws of England and the jurisdiction of the courts of England in respect of any dispute arising out of use of this website.
In the event that any of these terms and conditions are held to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining terms and conditions will remain in full force.
